Andorra, a tiny independent principality in the Pyrenees mountains between France and Spain, is made up of many beautiful and charming mountain towns. Andorra is well-known for its ski resorts as well as its tax-free status, which encourages duty-free shopping. Non-skiers can enjoy activities such as ice diving, speed skating, snowshoeing, dogsledding, and snowmobiling in Andorra. There are also numerous boutiques, fine jewellers, world-renowned culinary offerings, thermal baths and spas, wine tours, museums, cultural offerings, and interesting areas to visit. Along cobblestone streets in Andorra’s historic villages are centuries-old homes, mediaeval Romanesque churches, and shrines.

Andorra, once a mountain full of small ski villages, has evolved into a luxury ski destination. The Grandvalira ski resort has joined forces with its six neighbouring ski areas, allowing visitors to spend the day in other villages. Modern infrastructure investment has provided resort guests with access to modern lifts and shuttles. Skiers can enjoy El Tarter, which hosts several competitions such as the Freeride World Tour and the World Cup. Grandvalira also has gentle slopes that are appealing to beginner and intermediate skiers.
