Registration Party (4PM-9PM)
The registration is the first place for many Interbourse attendees to meet teammates, say hello to past friends and introduce yourself to other attendees from teams around the world upon your arrival to Interbourse. Here you will receive your registration material, wrist band, welcome bag, and gifts from our sponsors to allow you to fully enjoy Interbourse ski week.
Discovery Day (Groups leave 9:00-9:30-10:00)
Discovery Day takes place on Sunday at the start of Interbourse week. Skiers are divided into small groups depending on their skill level. All skiers can receive instruction from the guide to both strengthen their skills and learn the secret and undiscovered areas of the mountains. Discovery Day allows the you to become familiar with the many mountain huts (restaurants) and off piste terrain some may find challenging.
Snow Soccer Tournament (4PM-8PM)
The Snow Soccer tournament is a first for Interbourse. There will be hot wine, beer and pizza provided. The snow soccer field will be constructed adjacent to the Drink Canada Dry party. We look forward to hosting multiple teams to compete on the snow to see which team will score the most goals to win the first Interbourse Cup. Each team will consist of 5 members, 4 players and 1 goalkeeper. The game will be 10 minutes. As the courageous compete you can cheer for your favorite team. You may want to pack a whistle, a cow bell and other noisemakers to cheer your squad on. This is an outdoor event so remember to dress warm.
Race Training and Qualification Runs (10AM-12PM)
Race training allows the skiers who are competing in the official races to practice racing through gates and form their strategy to win the race. Skiers who register for the Parallel Slalom Race will need to qualify in this training course. The fastest 32 men and 16 women skiers will qualify for the official paralell race scheduled to take place Tuesday morning. Attendees are welcome to make their way up the mountain so see the skiers fly by but you may want to wait for the official races to let yourself be heard cheering for your favorite skier and team. Remember to bring your noisemakers.
Panoramic Lunch and Party (12PM-4PM)
A truly wonderful location to enjoy a warm comfortable atmosphere and beautiful panoramic views. Here you will enjoy an afternoon of relaxation with a memorable gastronomic experience on the mountain. We will offer beer and wine to accompany your lunch.. Its location makes it the perfect place for those who enjoy the slopes and those who don’t ski but want to enjoy good food and amazing views. After enjoying a drink or lunch on the terrace, later in the afternoon enjoy the music and apreski party.
Captains Meeting (by invitation only) (4:30PM-6PM)
This takes place before the official races begin to allow all ski team captains to agree to the rules, make any suggestions, choose bib numbers and sequence how the racers will come down the mountain. The Interbourse ski team captains will discuss any issues and the host committees decision where and when to host future Interbourse events.
Breakfast Roundtable Meetings (8MA-9AM Mon, Tue, Fri)
The breakfast roundtables will offer Interbourse attendees a series of intimate breakfast meeting hosted by some of our sponsors. This will provide a conducive environment to share industry trends, exchange new ideas and offerings, and network with industry peers in a relaxed open atmosphere.
Pub Crawl (9PM-1AM)
The pub crawl will allow all Interbourse attendees to sample the highlights of Soldeu’s nightlife with friends and colleagues. Every attendee will be given Interbourse coins to sample local wines and beers from several local eatablishments. This is expected to be an interesting experience for all to attend.
Parallel Slalom (10AM-12PM and 2PM-3PM)
One of the official races at Interbourse is a slalom course which is separated into two parallel heats. Racers who qualify will compete in the second round that afternoon. To remain truly competitive the racers must maintain high speeds, balance, and control while skiing between a set of gates. The number of gates represent the number of directional changes each skier must perform.
Guest Race (12PM-2PM)
The Guest Race allows all Interbourse participants who do not participate in an official race an opportunity to enjoy a non competitive race. This event includes an afternoon of laughs, humor, and most importantly fun.
Paralell/Guest Race Aprés Ski and Lunch (11AM-4PM)
Aprés Ski and Lunch at the Rita Escorjada Terasse is a wonderful place to view both the Parallel Slalom and the Guest Race. It’s a very comfortable location to enjoy the sun while watching your favorite skiers and teams compete. An array of food and drinks will be offered to Interbourse attendees while enjoying the day. Remember to bring your noisemakers and flags.
Race Inspection (9:00AM-10:45AM and 12:30-1:15)
As these skiers prepare to descend the mountain they need to evaluate the current weather conditions, including the amount of snow, ice, sunlight and shadow visible now. In addition the skier needs to evaluate the future overall condition of the ski course when their turn comes to compete.
Official Races (10:45AM-12:30PM and 1:15PM-3:30PM)
The official race at Interbourse is a giant slalom course. The individual Team are made up of 5 racers each and all of them shall ski the course. The fastest 8 teams qualify for the second round that afternoon. To remain truly competitive the racers must maintain high speeds, balance, and control while skiing between a set of gates. The number of gates represent the number of directional changes each skier must perform.
Spectators Lounge (11AM-4PM)
The Race Party is a wonderful celebration to congratulate those who gained the edge and have the courage, stamina, and ability to compete with some world class skiers. These racers risk it all. Racers will be toasted, teams will receive their well deserved congratulations, and the crowd is assured a wonderful time in celebrating their victories. Prizes will be distributed to the winning racers and their teams while being cheered by the crowd. Remember to bring your noisemakers and flags.
Ski Your Favorite Mountain
After a day of skiing and boarding Thursday on your favorite mountain or enjoying the 210 kilometers of trails and the many activities Andorra has to offer we return Thursday evening to have some fun. .
Glooooow Party (4PM-9PM)
L’Aberset is famous for hosting one of the largest and most famous aprés ski parties in Europe. This Glow Party will certainly light you up. L’’Abarset fuses music, dancing, and fun in a unique comfortable atmosphere. L’Abarset is located on the foot of the slopes located in the El Tarter ski area. It’s easily reached by ski trail. Much of the party is outdoors so please dress warm to enjoy the evening. Interbourse will provide transportation back to Soldeu so remember, “They Pour, You Drink, and We Drive”.
Festa de Blanc Party (6PM-11PM)
The closing event is guaranteed to be enjoyable. It will be easy to both pack for and attend since it takes place in the Village Hotel in the Salon Valira Ballroom. This will be an evening to embrace friends and say farewell to both new and former acquaintances. We look forward to seeing you there.
